About the Workshop

This two-hour ‘Pottery Essentials’ handmade pottery workshop introduces participants to hand building techniques using clay, in slightly longer and more detailed format to our ‘Taster’ session. The session provides a practical introduction to working with clay, including key handmade pottery techniques, while guiding participants to create two unique ceramic pieces. The pieces you will create are limited only by your imagination and could be functional or decorative forms such as plates, bowls, vases, or small sculptural items, for example bird feeders. No prior experience is required!

• Clay, tools, and workstations
• Glazes and decorative materials
• Firing of completed pieces. Pots are typically ready to collect 3-4 weeks after the course. Postage can be arranged.
