Pottery By Noor
I’m Noor, I produce ceramic pieces that are durable and functional, decorating them using Arabic words. My product is refined, but its purpose is for everyday use and touch. Each piece is intimate and unique, with the addition of subtle surface textures and lingering marks that are captured in the throwing process. I throw with high fired stoneware clay, predominately using the potters wheel making simple forms and I create my work in my studio in Durleighmarsh Farm, Petersfield, Hampshire.
I also teach handmade pottery workshops to all ages. Each workshop is designed to teach handmade pottery techniques in a fun, artistic, relaxed environment at my studio. Creating pottery is a magical blend of skill, imagination, and self-expression. You start by learning the craft—understanding how clay responds to your touch, how shapes form, and how textures and glazes bring pieces to life. But the true magic happens when you infuse your own creativity into the process. Each piece becomes a reflection of your personality, your moods, and your unique perspective on the world. The curves, patterns, and finishes are like a visual signature, turning simple clay into art that speaks just as much about you as it does about the craft. It’s not just making pottery—it’s giving form to your imagination and leaving a lasting, tangible imprint of your individuality. Check out my Courses page to find out more.
